Welcome
to the Monterey Bay Rose Society's web site.
The Monterey
Bay Rose Society was founded in 1980 and now has about 100
members.
The MBRS presents monthly meetings with interesting programs, publishes a monthly
digital newsletter with tips and tricks for growing
better roses in our area, plans visits to rose gardens and nurseries,
and sponsors an annual rose show in the spring.
Meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month except June,
July, November and December.
Please Note: Meeting locations will alternate between Aptos and Salinas. Our member, John Mahoney, has found us a meeting location in south Salinas: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 1070 Pajaro Street, Salinas. We will meet in the Choir Room. The next scheduled Salinas meeting date is:
Thursday, August 29th at 7:00 p.m. - Speaker TBA
The 33rd Annual MBRS Rose Show was huge success, thanks to the participation of club members. For the report and final tally, click here: 2013 Show Results
Meeting Notes from May 30, 2013. Our first Salinas meeting was held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church where trophy presentations were made to the winners of the MBRS Annual Rose Show. We were pleased to see several attendees from Carmel, and our Prundedale, Salinas and Spreckles members were also in attendance.

If you haven't bought a copy of Master Consulting Rosarian Joe Truskot's beautiful new book, “Central Coast Rose Manual,” it's available for $39.95 by contacting him at (831) 449-7313 or via email at jtruskot@comcast.net.
The book is a “must-have” if you want to grow roses successfully on our central coast.
